Searching via \u2018personalities\u2019 allows to discover biographies of art critics and art historians. The individuals are Belgian or were born in territories that, at the time of their birth, constituted the Southern Netherlands and the Principality of Li\u00e8ge; a number of foreigners who played a significant role in the country\u2019s history are also included. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.24px; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The site provides access to the digitised version of the\u202fBiographie nationale\u202fand the first twelve volumes of the\u202fNouvelle Biographie nationale. An integrated search tool allows users to find a published entry. The sub-tab \u2018Personnalit\u00e9s\u2019 contains all the personalities whose entries have been written in the\u202fBiographie nationale\u202for in the first twelve volumes of the\u202fNouvelle Biographie nationale.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.24px; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);\"><a href=\"https:\/\/arthistorians.info\"><b>Duke Dictionary of Art Historians<\/b><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.24px; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);\">The Duke Dictionary of Art Historians (DAH) is a free, privately funded online resource that aims to document and compile biographical and professional information on art historians (around fifty for Belgium), critics and researchers who have contributed to the development of the discipline around the world. This project is akin to a living archive that offers valuable context and in-depth information on the figures who have shaped the discourse on art history.  <\/span><span style=\"background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); letter-spacing: 0.24px;\">The project description is available in several languages and the site offers a bibliography and a glossary on various issues related to the database (general historiography, periods, media, countries, genres, etc.). <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong style=\"background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); letter-spacing: 0.24px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inha.fr\/dictionnaire-critique-des-historiens-de-lart-actifs-en-france-de-la-revolution-a-la-premiere-guerre-mondiale\/\">Dictionnaire critique des historiens de l\u2019art actifs en France de la R\u00e9volution \u00e0 la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.24px; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);\">This critical online dictionary presents a representative selection of art historians active in France from the Revolution to the First World War. It is currently being re-edited and will be available on OpenEdition Books in the \u2018Traverses\u2019 collection. This volume will be supplemented by around a hundred new entries. These are indicated as forthcoming.   <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.24px; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);\"><a href=\"https:\/\/iselp.be\"><b>ISELP <\/b><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Founded in 1971, ISELP (Institut sup\u00e9rieur pour l\u2019\u00e9tude du langage plastique) is a place where contemporary art is approached from different angles that enrich each other. One of these angles is that of reflection on the professions of art history (<a href=\"https:\/\/iselp.be\/editions\/lhistoire-de-lart-comme-profession\/\">L\u2019histoire de l\u2019art comme profession<\/a>). It also offers a series of podcasts \u00ab\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/iselp.be\/podcasts\/tetes-chercheuses\/\">T\u00eates chercheuses<\/a>\u202f\u00bb featuring interviews with experienced researchers from a wide variety of backgrounds.   <span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.24px; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/retrace.agency\"><b>Retrace srl<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.24px; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);\">Retrace is a private agency dedicated to promoting historical, archaeological and artistic heritage, offering its services to individuals, families, owners of historic homes, businesses, non-profit organisations and foundations, collection owners, as well as cultural sites.
